Fender Guitars

Fender Guitars, Jordyn Cochlan, acrylic.

“Fender Guitars” is a piece that I completed for my Art 30 course at school. I was initially inspired to create a piece that was detail oriented, and striking through both color and composition. The piece is a painting of a photo I took while traveling in Florence, Italy, last summer. I was intrigued by the windowshop of a guitar store that was tucked around a corner and covered in shade, making it seem “insignificant” to the streets of Florence. Interested in the craftsmanship of the guitars, I photographed the shop and recreated the photo through an acrylic painting. I really enjoyed creating this piece, and appreciate the story behind it as it combines my love for travel and detail oriented work into one!
