Deserted

Deserted, Jesse Miletin, oil painting.

My submitted body of work illustrates the forgotten everyday objects that have disappeared from our digital world. Nowadays, no one notices the few remaining telephone booths that are scattered through our neighbourhoods. Just recently so vital to our daily communication, public phones are now forgotten, abandoned, and obsolete. When I create these telephone booths I make sure to capture their graffiti-covered isolation and their pervasive corrosion. In these pieces, I attempt to bring these objects back their once-useful lives by using vibrant colour schemes and a singular focus.
