Ancient Chinese architecture is exquisite and elegant. My great-grandfather, inherited from our ancestral home, used to live in a house with a similar impressive entrance. The Chinese character words above the doorway translate as Tianbo Mansion. Today, people don’t value and appreciate the beauty of this old-fashioned architecture, some of these buildings have fallen into disrepair due to lack of maintenance, and many have been torn down and replaced with high-rise buildings. I recreated the Tianbo Mansion from its old glory, based on many photographs of similar mansions.
